I am a DVSA approved driving instructor working in the Wells and Cheddar areas in Somerset. I offer client centred lessons to new learners as well as refresher lessons to already qualified drivers alongside a range of other services.

I previously worked as a teacher and then a headteacher in education and after 25 years experience I decided a change of career would give me a new sense of purpose and challenge.  I undertook an extensive training programme working with an ORDIT registered trainer as well as a local instructor to gain the local knowledge needed to be successful as a driving instructor.

My previous teaching experience has many transferable skills to my role as an instructor including an understanding of the learning process, good communication skills and how to create a calm and reassuring atmosphere to make the most of the learning opportunities.

I am thoroughly enjoying my new role as an instructor working alongside my learners.  I aim to make lessons both enjoyable and purposeful as we work to our shared aim of passing the test and turning you into a qualified driver.
